Some numbers stay whole
We stop reducing at 11, 22 and 33. These are traditionally called master numbers. Personal Years are the exception: every step reduces to a number from 1 to 9.
A little care with Y
Y counts as a vowel when a name part has no A, E, I, O or U, or when Y sits between two consonants. Otherwise it is a consonant. Accents are folded into Latin letters: ø becomes O, æ becomes AE and ß becomes SS.
Tradition, with perspective
Intermediate totals of 13, 14, 16 or 19 are called karmic debt in this tradition. The term describes symbolic themes, not an actual debt or a judgement about your life.

Which name should I use?
Use your full name as recorded at birth, including middle names. Enter it in Latin letters. Spaces and punctuation separate name parts, and accents are converted using the method explained above.
What if I changed my name?
This reading uses your name at birth as a consistent starting point. A later name can be explored separately, but it will give different name numbers. Your birth date numbers stay the same.
Why is my number different on another site?
Methods differ. We reduce each date component and each name part separately, preserve 11, 22 and 33 for core numbers, and treat Y according to its position. A site that adds every digit in one step may reach a different result. You can inspect every step here.
Is numerology a science?
No. Numerology is a symbolic tradition without a scientific basis for describing personality or predicting events. We offer it as a way to reflect, not as evidence or a guide for important decisions.
What do master numbers mean?
In this tradition, 11, 22 and 33 carry additional symbolic themes, so we keep them whole when reducing core numbers. They do not make a person better, more gifted or more important. Personal Years always reduce to 1 through 9.
